My Throne is My Place
Kings and queens have thrones. They are places of honor, and only the king or queen may sit on that throne. They judge and rule from their throne. Their throne is not just a big chair that they sit on, but a place, a position of authority. The one who sits on the throne; the king, has all authority. What the King says, goes. No matter what. The king also gives authority to others to operate in his kingdom. His bride, or queen is given authority to make decisions in his name. If the king's representative or child gives a command under his authority, those decrees or commands must be carried out. No questions asked.
Jesus is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. He has a throne. He is God and God alone, and therefore, the only one worthy of that throne. He is the only perfect one. He came from heaven to earth and lived a human life, never sining. He died for us and rose again from the dead, defeating death, and Satan himself, forever. He alone is worthy to sit on the throne and all authority in heaven and earth has been given to Him.
I recently heard the Lord say, "Honor me in My place. In My rightful place. I want to be honored in My rightful place. My throne is My place. I am always on My throne." He rules and reigns from His throne.
We know that God is everywhere. There is not anywhere we could go, that God is not there. Again I heard the Lord say, "No matter where I am, I am always on My throne. If I'm in the dumps of Africa, I am still on My throne. I remain on my throne." From His throne He loves you. From His throne He forgives you. He knows who He is, and from the place of knowing who He is, He functions in the earth and the heavens. He is God, and everything He does, He does as God. His throne is His position. He operates from His position and just like the principle of a school operates from their position as principle He operates from His position as God of the universe. He operates from who He is.
Jesus said, "Do not fear for I am still on my throne today." He is still in control, and He is still God. He reaches those that don't know Him from His throne. He reaches the poor in spirit, from His throne. His throne is a place He holds at all times. Unlike any other. He is, and always will be on His throne.
The next time you think about God and who He really is, remember His throne. His rightful place. The next time you are afraid and don't know what to do, remember that He is still on His throne and He has all authority. The next time you begin to wonder who you are, and what you can do, think about who's you are, and what authority you are under. Think about who you are submitted to, who you represent and who gives you the right to become His son or daughter. As a child of God you are given authority in the name of Jesus Christ to represent Him, to give commands to the darkness all around you; to set the captive free; to come boldy before His throne, and to tell of His great love. Honor God in His place. Worship Him from a place of knowing who He is. He is God, the one and only, and He is always on His throne.
